I work for a fast food restaurant, i have been very poorly treated and i don’t know where to report this since the Manager is no help because she knows what is going on and contributes to it.
What happened?
well me and another employee got into a heated argument due to the pact that she was treating people with a severe lack of respect and i was calling her attention on it. I guess she didn’t like my request that be more mindful of the feelings of others and that she treat people with decency,so we started exchanging strong words.next thing i know the girl comes at me with a knife and spatula, but tosses them aside before she get to me and punches me!!! an act that is completely uncalled for NO MATTER WHAT WAS SAID!. in self defense i slap her and try to get her to back off, but this went on until another co-worker pulled us aside.
the result of this fight? I LOST HOURS,and was reprimanded but NOTHING happened to her. since she’s good friends with the manager she took over my hours because she said that she didn’t want to work with me and the manager just laughed and didn’t even tell her that her attack on me was wrong.
in addition to this we don’t get the proper lunch breaks.even if you work a 10hour work day you are only allowed 10 minutes and the manager gets mad if you dare take even one more. Ofcource i want to quit but i also want justice for this ill treatment to stop it from continuing on with others.
problem? I don’t know who to tell or where to report this since the franchise doesn’t seem to have a human resources department. HELP PLEASE!! where do i go? who can i tell?
