I want the ham to be juicy and sweet with a hint of saltiness. I’ve never made one before but if I’m given the right recipe, I can make anything taste perfect. I at a slice of ham once at a work potluck and it was so succulent. They told me they just used a Dr. Pepper glaze. So even something like that. I’m open to anything as long as it’s sweet and good. I want something that tastes similar to the ham at Firehouse Subs.
Also, if you have a good stuffing recipe. Thanks a bunch.
Happy Halloween!

We were recently invited by my wife’s parents, Sharen and Carter, to get fresh frozen yogurt from a local business they had been telling us about for weeks. We tagged along in hope of some delicious dessert and found much, much more! The “Yogurt Patch” sells a variety of low-fat, no-fat and no sugar added fresh frozen yogurt and it’s all delicious but what really impressed my wife and I was that the Yogurt Patch has made an obvious investment in being a green business. It’s not immediately obvi
Alright ya’ll (since this is the South), we’ve closed nominations and now will begin voting for the best of the regional Grub joints. Below you’ll find the choices and you can click here to vote . You do not have to vote on any given category if you are unfamiliar with the choices. Keep in mind these were the readers nominations and GrubGrade has made no distinction as to which ones are actually regional (exceptions include the exclusion of obvious ones such as Diet Coke or Papa John’s) s
Drum roll please…….and here are your winners for the South region. Almost all were a landslide except the Mexican food category (Iguana Grill won by 3 votes). I’m surprised to see Coca-Cola as the winner as well as Kettle Chips as they started in Oregon and are now owned by the British equity firm Lion Capital LLP ….but to each their own I guess, that’s what ya’ll voted on. Tomorrow we will begin voting on the Central region. Maybe you can take some hints from this round and really explain in

So my birthday is tomorrow and there is nothing better on your birthday than friends, presents, having a bye week on chores and getting free stuff! The latter is especially appealing to me since I’m generally a big saver. So I have big plans for getting free loot tomorrow. A few of you asked, so here is the list of goodies for birthday freebies in Austin so that everyone can take full advantage. (If you live somewhere else, you can probably find a local list on google.) One more side note, sever
So tonight I am Firehouse Subs for dinner enjoying my usual hook and ladder sandwich when something strange happened. Two girls came walking in with the intent of eating, both left without placing their order. Here is what happened…As the two young ladies (likely mid to late 20’s) came in, the man making the sandwiches commented to one of the girls ” I cant let you come in here wearing that shirt”. This particular young lady was wearing a Florida Gators shirt. Without so much as demanding an

Fortune magazine recently interviewed Avon CEO Andrea Jung in an article about how companies are changing their marketing to reflect the times. Jung pointed to research that found only 13 percent of people who are tightening their budgets will go back to their old spending patterns once the recession ends. Avon has taken this opportunity to tell customers that Avon is a good value – using language such as “Shop smart: Shop Avon” and “Beauty on a Budget.” Other companies, like Proctor
